Room Heat Loss (BTU)

Heat loss for one room at the design temperature — for sizing a mini-split head or baseboard. Free, no sign-up.

Run this once per room. It adds up heat lost through the outside walls, windows, ceiling (if there's attic above) and floor (if it's over an unheated space), plus the room's share of air leakage.

It's an estimate, not a CSA F280 calculation — use it to compare options and sanity-check sizes. Pick equipment by its output at the design temperature, not its nominal rating.
