Can we live in the house during the renovation?
In most cases, yes. I put up dust barriers, protect the floors and clean up every evening. Kitchens and bathrooms come back online in stages rather than all at the end, and you get a written update every week.
Do you work on older and historic homes?
Yes. I match trim profiles to what's already in the house, so new work looks like it was always there.
Will you upgrade the insulation while the walls are open?
Yes. Any wall I open gets air sealing, insulation and wiring brought up to current standard. You won't see it once the drywall goes back, but you'll feel it.
Do you build additions?
Yes, both room additions and outbuildings, built to the same standard as a new home.
How do I get an estimate?
A rough sketch and a few photos are enough to start. I'll come by and take a look, walk through it with you, and put together an estimate with a realistic range and a plan that keeps your household running.
